Frequently Asked Questions

How can I get involved with INTERWOVEN?

There are many ways to participate. You can partner with us on a program or exhibition, support INTERWOVEN through a donation or sponsorship, take part in an educational program, or collaborate as an artist, scientist, educator, institution, or community partner.

Are you accepting new partners and artists?

Yes. We are currently accepting proposals from institutions, artists, scientists, and educators interested in collaborating with INTERWOVEN in 2027 and 2028. Programs are developed with partners around a specific question, place, audience, or shared challenge, so we welcome conversations at an early stage – before an idea is fully formed. Please contact us with a brief outline of what you have in mind.

Can I volunteer?

We welcome volunteers and collaborators who want to support INTERWOVEN programs and events. Please contact us with your interests and contact information, and we will keep you informed about relevant opportunities.

How can museums or cultural centers present INTERWOVEN exhibitions, masterclasses, and workshops?

We work with museums, cultural centers, festivals, universities, and other institutions to adapt INTERWOVEN programs to different audiences, locations, and contexts. Contact us to discuss an existing program or develop a new collaboration.

How can educational institutions partner with INTERWOVEN YOUTH?

INTERWOVEN YOUTH works with schools, universities, and educational organizations to connect students with artists, scientists, astronauts, educators, and other leading thinkers through hands-on creative and educational experiences.

How do INTERWOVEN YOUTH programs differ from other programs?

INTERWOVEN YOUTH combines art, science, technology, exploration, and education. Students are not simply audiences or recipients — they participate directly in the creative process, working alongside leading professionals, and their work is exhibited alongside that of the artists and scientists who inspired it.

How can institutions working in environmental protection — from the ocean to space — collaborate with INTERWOVEN?

We welcome collaborations with organizations working in environmental protection, sustainability, ocean science, space exploration, technology, education, and related fields. Our programs are designed to create meaningful connections between disciplines and communities and can be adapted to different countries and institutional contexts.

When are INTERWOVEN guest artists and scientists selected?

Guest artists, scientists, astronauts, educators, and other collaborators are selected based on the themes, locations, partners, and audiences involved in each INTERWOVEN program. New collaborations are announced through the INTERWOVEN website and Newsroom.

Who presents and produces INTERWOVEN?

INTERWOVEN is presented and produced by URUCUM Global Arts and The Hipsetter Group, working in partnership with cultural institutions, research centers, and schools internationally.

Where do donations to INTERWOVEN go?

Donations are received and administered by URUCUM Global Arts. They support the artists, scientists, educators, youth programs, exhibitions, events, and other activities that make INTERWOVEN possible. The website can currently accept donations from within the United States only.
