About Interwoven

We build programs, collaborations, and exhibitions that connect artists, scientists, astronauts, technologists, educators, and communities around the questions shaping our shared future.

At the heart of INTERWOVEN is a belief that the most interesting ideas emerge when different ways of thinking come together. Participation is how we work.

Young people and communities explore big questions, develop ideas, and make alongside leading thinkers—and we build pathways that carry those ideas beyond the classroom and into the wider world. Some become exhibitions or international collaborations; others spark a new question, a new way of seeing, or a new possibility. We are building the conditions for ideas to travel, connections to grow, and more people to have a voice in shaping the future we share.

Sustainability

Educate youth and communities globally on the strategies, technologies, and methodologies needed to safeguard our planet. We explore how discoveries from the Deep Ocean to Deep Space directly impact Earth's security and ecological well-being.

Replicable Model

Design programs that can be adapted and rebuilt by partners in other countries and contexts. Each INTERWOVEN initiative is structured so that its framework — curriculum, participation model, and exhibition pathway — can be carried forward by institutions worldwide rather than staying with a single event.

Dancers representing Global Collaboration

Global Collaboration

Develop exemplary programs alongside leading international partners across the arts, science, technology, and STEM education. These initiatives actively engage students and communities in work that advances global environmental sustainability.

The INTERWOVEN Team

INTERWOVEN's founders met working on Earth to Space, the Kennedy Center festival exploring the arts, space, and the environment, and came together around The Next Giant Leap: Lunar Quilts - a national call inviting students and artists to connect their handwork to NASA's Artemis campaign, which drew participation from all fifty states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico.

That project showed what becomes possible when an artist, a cultural institution, and a space agency work as one. INTERWOVEN was founded to build those partnerships deliberately - across public institutions, private companies, and cultural organizations - and to make each program replicable by partners worldwide.
