Adrien Gardère is a French designer and museographer recognized for his innovative approach to exhibition design, seamlessly blending contemporary aesthetics with historical narratives. His career is marked by a commitment to enhancing the visitor experience through thoughtful spatial designs and the integration of cutting-edge technology. Gardère’s collaborations span diverse disciplines, resulting in immersive environments that invite engagement and reflection.
Born in France, Adrien Gardère studied Modern Literature before training as a cabinetmaker and furniture designer at the Arts Décoratifs School of Paris.
Adrien Gardère founded Studio Adrien Gardère in Paris in 2000. The studio has built long-standing relations and collaborates with leading cultural institutions and architectural firms globally, and has completed designs for 13 museums and over eighty temporary exhibitions. Its work has received numerous awards, including the Museum+Heritage International Award (2011), Apollo Awards (2014), Iconic Awards and Équerre d’argent (2013), and RIBA London Awards (2020). Gardère was honored with the Medal of the Academy of Architecture Foundation 1977 in 2020, and the studio earned the French Design 100 award in 2019 and 2022.
